Vitos Courtyard House

The children and adolescent’s psychiatric day care facility in Korbach is a symbiosis of the natural green area, the surrounding neighborhood and the building. Shaped like a horseshoe the volume forms around an inner courtyard, providing a patio that serves as a communal area and playground for patients and the inhabitants of the neighborhood.

The building consists of three areas: an outpatient clinic, a day clinic and a small school run by the Hesse State Welfare Association.The dynamic roof is supporting the inner functions of the sculptural day care facility by creating a bright and friendly atmosphere.
