Being the worldwide first new build development on an UNESCO World Heritage site, the headquarter for RAG Montan Immobilien (montane real estate) has been completed by the beginning of 2012. The building offers workplace for 250 staff and was planned to meet green building standards. The H-shaped plan provides two wings of offices at a height of two and three stories linked by glazed communicative areas such as staircases, elevators, lobbies on both entrance levels and tea-point hubs for the use of communicative breaks for the employees. A spacious roof terrace with a nice view to the UNESCO World Heritage and the green patio alongside the bistro enables the employees to take flexible and restful breaks.
