- 75378 Bad Liebenzell
With distributions in more than 40 countries, Lunor is renowned for high-quality, timeless frames. Since 2005 the company is owned by Mr. Ulrich Fux and his son Michael Fux. Together with Sophie Fux in executive function and 20 employees they are working in Althengstett on the edge of the northern black forest to offer the best quality frames available on the market. They design stylish classics, worn by celebrities such as Uma Thurman, Tom Cruise, Steve Jobs, Elton John, Madonna and many more worldwide.
The very dynamic development of the Lunor company made it necessary to move the administration, production and logistics to a new location in order to provide areas for further expansion options.
High-quality materials, craftsmanship, uncompromising quality - Lunor's claim to its own products – was architecturally implemented in 2016 by Schmelzle + Partner Architekten in an extravagant new building.
The transparent overall structure of the design creates a smooth transition between exterior and interior through generous glazing. The office space is entirely geared to the needs of the employees and is intended to promote personal wellbeing as well as internal communication. In order to ideally represent all operational procedures, the optimal arrangement of the areas was developed in a multi-day Vitra workshop. Printers stand at ideal positions, meeting tables where teams can meet quickly, workplaces are dimensioned to meet the needs. There is also production and assembly in the office, which do not generate any noise or dirt. A centrally positioned cube includes all technical utilities and the sanitary area and separates the office space from the meeting rooms and the cafeteria, which is oriented towards the nature reserve. There, the room-high glazing > 4.20 meters was realized without additional stiffening to ensure maximum transparency.
Matt black ceiling units - specially developed for Lunor - heat and cool as required, supported by concrete core activation in the ground and are acoustically effective to ensure a pleasant working atmosphere in the Open Space Office.
A room-high smoke protection wall separates the office and production area from storage and shipping department. No traffic area is being interposed, the transition takes place directly. The ceiling in the warehouse and logistics is the same as in the office area. Warehouse and production areas are prepared for expansion. On expansion, the office can grow towards the logistics by moving the smoke barrier to the right.
