The newly built fire-fighting station in the municipality of Trebur has been designed as a modern functional building with extended options for use.
'The vehicle hall providing 5 parking spaces for the fire engines and a multi-purpose boat is the core of the building, which integrates further functionally important areas such as a car wash hall, areas for storing dyke care equipment, a workshop, an administration office, club and training rooms and a separate area for the young fire-fighters.
An incised atrium ensures uniform lighting conditions in the surrounding rooms and forms a central place in the building that can also be used as an outdoor terrace.

The area is dominated by a 14 metres high training tower visible from afar and powerfully representing the new site at the entrance of the village. The whole complex has been integrated into the green belt at the rim of the village and adapts harmoniously to its local surroundings.

In the newly built fire station the shape of the building structure is determined by the functions of the internal areas - ranging from the low built parts with the changing and staff rooms up to the high built hall for the vehicles - which results in a line adequately reflecting the high dynamics typical for a fire brigade. The building reaches a maximum height of ca. 7,70 metres which is only exceeded by the training wall.
Thanks to the building's compact structure and its specific geometry, a photovoltaic system could be installed which guarantees an independent energy supply of the project and the highest possible standard in terms of sustainability and efficiency.
