aac Academy for Architectural Culture
The Academy for Architectural Culture (aac) offers valuable postgraduate studies for highly qualified architectural graduates and young professionals. The academy was initiated by the architects Meinhard von Gerkan and Volkwin Marg and is a private non-profit institution supported by the gmp-foundation. The internationally oriented academy teaches architecture and urban design from both an academic as well as professional perspective. Additionally the academy’s public symposia highlight topical issues and maintain a dialogue between leading experts, policy makers and the broader public.
Temporary exhibitions and lectures offer a public event program with a focus on cultural poli-cy. President of the aac is Meinhard von Gerkan, Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Dipl.-Ing. Architect BDA. 45 years of experience, collected by the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partner (gmp), back the activities of the aac. The teaching reflects the 28year academic track record of the gmp founding partners.
