dan pearlman wins the German Design Award Gold Prize

For its design of the Lufthansa Brand Academy 360° Tower Projection dan pearlman has received the German Design Award. Known as the “Design Oscar,” the award is Germany’s most prestigious official prize for design.

The German Design Award is Germany’s most prestigious official prize for design. It is designated as the “prize of prizes” since no other design award places the same high level of demands on its nominees. A business is only allowed to compete for the design award if its product has already received an international or national award. A further condition for participation is the nomination by state senators or economic ministers or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

For the 2011 German Design Award competition, a total of more than 1,500 products and communications designs were submitted. The criteria: nominated are only those projects that have already won other competitions, thereby proving the success of their design, quality and, brands.
